• I have been thinking abt what you said abt [beiguang as a potential symbol of redeeming villains n willingness to make amends n connect w/one's former enemies] and like. Chilumi fits this but lumine becoming a magical girl itself feels like an arc
• at this point everyone in venti's life is having magical girl arcs except for him
• childe being a recurring nuisance would be really funny tho
• OH CHLM-XV PARALLELS WHERE LUMINE IS STILL A MAGICAL GIRL BUT SHE'S ROMANCING A VILLAIN
• different from beiguang bc beidou isn't like Really all that evil or anything she's just kind of a punk who maybe gets victimized by a villain taking advantage of her trusting nature
• beidou comes around really fast but then beiguang still have that that rivalry thing going on anyway bc of the different ways they like to go around protecting/bettering the school
• but childe's like. Villain.
• lumine moves into the area and experiences her first magical girl villain attack or whatever when she's chilling with besti venti
• like in the café when xiao's having his jealousy arc n stuff
• and xiao has to rush off to fight what he thinks is going to be a villain-of-the-week, and then venti sees him and is like

  while lumine is like

  : MAGICAL VILLAIN???

  in that overexcited "i'm gonna kick some ASS" kind of way
• so they BOTH dash out of the café after xiao
• but instead of playing the damsel game like venti, lumine sees the villain childe and is like

  : oh i can take him

• bc the twins are not from Around the area they've never dealt w/magic threats before, so lumine rolls up her sleeves and gets ready to sock childe in the face while xiao is like

  : OH GOD NO NO NO NO NO NO THIS IS BAD

• venti knows that lumine's breaking the social script of Witnessing The Magical Girl Fights n stuff but like. how does he Express that lol
• so in his distraction smth starts falling on him so xiao has to save him
• and backup obvs hasn't come yet so lumine gets to punch childe in the face for Real

• the next day she goes to the adepti hq

• I think aside from Venti everyone absolutely detests her romance with childe. Chilumi in every au is not approved by anyone <3
• The only reason venti approves is because he knows he is in a magical girl anime and so no harm will be done to his bestie
• every chlm third wheel is disapproving <3
• i love the implication that adepti hq just has magical transformation amulets lying around
• VENTI COULD BE DOING MAGICAL GIRL SHIT IF HE WANTED

• the good thing about chilumi is that they don't need any tropes they just do their own things
• everyone's watching them with horror as they crack apart every shoujo trope that tries to come their way with their bare hands w/o even noticing it
• like everyone is at least Leaning Into the tropes a little (esp. venti)
• venti just Takes every trope. He lives for it. He takes enough for both himself and lumine
• he's like kirby where he enters the room and he absorbs all the little tropes that could apply in that situation
• though chilumi will have the love-interest-injured-so-they-go-feral one. only THEY can stab each other lethally no one else CAN
• xiao sneaks out to stab childe bc he threatened the harbor or zhongli in particular for some reason
• lumine n xiao get into a massive fight as a result of it
• aether n venti have to intervene

• that was probably the first time lumine fully used the amulet
• childe's not even in the hospital or anything lumi's just jealous that someone else considered stabbing him

• usually he doesn't bc under the bed has monsters ofc, but subconsciously he knows that xiao will keep him safe fromo the under-the-bed monsters hehe
• the yakshas probably made up the monster under the bed thing for more xiaoven setup
• that's one of the few things which venti falls for and xiao KNOWS is untrue

• other yakshas trying to scare venti for fun: oh yeah it's a magical girl hq ofc we have monsters under the bed here for realsies :)
