• venti is sometimes a bit too aware of things.
• to be fair that probably kept him alive during xv arc
• oh yes def
• venti tackling xiao out of the way of an unexpected enemy laser beam
• you know what would fuck severely
• you know that part in early soul eater
• when soul takes a massive slash across his chest and almost dies to protect maka bc he's the weapon he'll do anything to protect his meister n all that stuff it's like just what he does
• (and they are like thirteen years old)
• and then they have like this bit in the hospital where maka is afraid of seeing soul so injured n all that stuff n eventually they meet in a dark alley abt it n maka puts her hand to soul's chest to feel his heart still beating under the scar n all that
• anyway that would be really fun to have happen with xv at some point :)

• i think out of all the tropes that make me certifiably Deranged heartbeat romanticism is the only one xv is missing
• they make up for it by romanticizing breath and breathing as a sign of being alive but it's Not The Same,,,
• also like heartbeat is just a violent reminder of how human one is
• heartbeats are a more violent reminder… love that it's where the blood's kept

• and!!!!! the beach episode!!! there needs to be one
• should this be before or after xv get together
• or are they in a will-they-won't-they aware of xiao's magical girl identity but not Together yet for various reasons that may or may not have to do with xiao's anxiety and flighty nature
• i want BOTH
• on one hand, xv kind of kiss bc emergency drowning procedures before they get together would be fun bc then xiao gets to like fantasize abt kissing venti (real) (not drowning procedures) afterwards
• and also maybe even feel guilty abt taking advantage of the situation like that
• actually the first mouth to mouth doesn't even HAPPEN. but xiao keeps thinking about how. nice it would be to kiss venti
• xiao can have cheek kiss for something idk
• and also it would be funny if in the second beach episode they got to kiss underwater <333
